Day 1: Fes Sightseeing (Guided Tour).
6-day tour from Fes to Marrakech, Following breakfast, your day will commence with an exploration of the city of Fes, renowned for its rich historical heritage. You will have the opportunity to visit iconic monuments including the Medersas, which are historic Koranic schools such as Chahrij, Bouinania, and Attarin. The itinerary includes a thorough exploration of the vibrant souk, a visit to the illustrious Karaouine mosque, recognized as one of the earliest universities globally, and an intriguing tour of the renowned leather tanneries. Your day concludes with an overnight stay in a traditional riad nestled within the heart of the medina
Day 2: Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara desert.
Our journey to the Merzouga desert takes us through Ifrane and Azrou, where cedar forests are home to indigenous monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, we travel through the picturesque Ziz Valley to Erfoud, with a visit to a fossil museum. In Merzouga, you’ll embark on a camel ride to explore the Erg Chebbi dunes, witness a captivating sunset, and spend the night in luxurious tents around a campfire.
Day 3: Exploring Merzouga (Visit local places).
Dedicate your day to a comprehensive exploration of Merzouga and its environs, encompassing the renowned Erg Chebbi dunes and the culturally significant village of Khamlia. Here, you will delve into the rich traditions of Gnaoua music while savoring a distinctive Berber lunch. The return journey to our luxury camp is conducted by camelback, creating a serene transition into the evening. An exquisite dinner awaits under the desert’s starlit canopy, followed by a restful night’s stay in the opulent confines of our camp.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Rose Valley – Boumlane Dades.
After breakfast in the camp, we leave the desert for Rissani, a former capital and regional trading hub. We visit Rissani Souk and then proceed to Erfoud for a fossilized marble workshop. We drive through scenic palm groves to reach Todra Gorges, known for its towering red cliffs and rock climbing. Lunch at a local restaurant. We continue to Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, with stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation and a mountaintop viewpoint. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
Day 5: Boumlane Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech.
After breakfast, we head to Kalaa Magouna’s Rose Valley, famous for its annual Rose Festival in May. Then, we pass through Skoura’s palm groves and arrive at Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” to visit its renowned film studios.
Our journey continues to the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a film-famous fortified village. Finally, we drive to Marrakesh, crossing the scenic Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, with stops for lunch and photos along the way to Marrakech.
