Marrrakech
3 Hours Before Flight Time
Pick up in Marrakech in the morning and drive through the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka (2260m). Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, the famous fortified village with its impressive kasbahs, known as a backdrop for many films. After lunch, continue to Dades Valley via Ouarzazate and the palm grove of Skoura, where you will spend your first night.
After breakfast, continue the desert journey, passing through colorful Berber villages and arriving at Tineghir with its lush palm groves. Visit Todra Gorge, a stunning canyon about 300 meters high, popular with mountain climbers. Proceed to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where you will stay overnight in a local riad.
Explore the vast Merzouga dunes, visiting the Gnaoua village, MIFISS mines, and desert plains while meeting Berber nomads. In the afternoon, enjoy a 1.5-hour camel ride at sunset to reach the desert camp. Spend the night in nomadic tents under the stars in the Sahara dunes.
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, then return by camel to your hotel for breakfast and a shower. Drive to Rissani to explore local sites including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and surrounding palm groves. After lunch in Nkoub, continue through the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight at a hotel.
After breakfast, depart Ouarzazate and visit the traditional Berber village of Telouet, exploring Kasbah el Glaoui. Continue across the High Atlas Mountains before returning to Marrakech, concluding your 5-day desert adventure.
