Continue your journey to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you will explore historic landmarks including the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas. After lunch in Rabat, travel north toward Chefchaouen, a charming town nestled in the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or riad and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the blue city.
After breakfast, enjoy free time to explore Chefchaouen, famously known as the Blue City of Morocco. Walk through its narrow blue painted streets, explore the medina, browse local markets, and take memorable photos of this unique destination.
Relax at a local cafe or enjoy traditional Moroccan dishes such as tagines and pastries while soaking in the laid back vibe of the town. After lunch, depart for Fes on a scenic drive through northern Morocco. Upon arrival, check into your traditional riad located in the heart of the old city and enjoy a restful night.
Today is dedicated to discovering Fes with a licensed local guide. As one of Morocco’s most important imperial cities, Fes is known for its deep history, culture, and spiritual significance.
Start with a visit to the Royal Palace gate before entering the UNESCO-listed Fes Medina. Explore key landmarks including Al Qarawiyyin University, Al Attarine Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous Chouara Tanneries.
Continue to the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter, to learn about the Jewish heritage of the city. End the tour at an ancient fortress offering panoramic views over the medina. Return to your riad with unforgettable memories of Fes.
After breakfast, begin your journey toward the Sahara Desert. Stop in Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco, before crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Visit a cedar forest where Barbary apes live freely in their natural environment.
After lunch along the way, drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, famous for its vast palm tree oasis. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon and begin your camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Stop on a high dune to watch a magical desert sunset before continuing to your luxury desert camp.
Enjoy dinner under the stars, Berber music around the campfire, and an overnight stay in a private tent with an ensuite bathroom.
Wake up early to witness a stunning sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 vehicle. Continue toward Dades Gorge, stopping in Rissani to visit the traditional market if it is a market day.
Walk through the spectacular Todra Gorge, surrounded by towering canyon walls and a flowing river. Continue through the Dades Valley, admiring the unique rock formations known as monkey fingers and panoramic views of the gorges. Arrive at your hotel in Dades for dinner and overnight stay.
On the final day of your Morocco itinerary 6 days, travel to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa. You may optionally visit Atlas Studios to explore famous movie sets and learn about film production in Morocco.
