Itinerary

Day 1Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Begin your 2-day desert tour with a morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Fes. Travel through the Middle Atlas region with stops in Azrou and Ifrane, where you can explore the famous cedar forest and observe Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat.

Continue the drive through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge, stopping for photos and traditional mint tea. Pass through the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani before arriving at the Erg Chebbi dunes. Trade your 4×4 for a camel (optional) and ride toward your desert camp. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and a magical evening with Berber music around the campfire under the star-filled desert sky.

Day 2Merzouga – Midelt – Fes

Wake early to experience the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at your desert camp or local hotel, ride back to the village by camel (optional) and enjoy a traditional breakfast. Depart Merzouga and drive back toward Fes, stopping in Rissani and Erfoud along the way for photos and a break. Continue through Ifrane and the Middle Atlas Mountains, arriving in Fes by late afternoon to conclude your tour.
