Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech – Tizi-n-Tichka Pass – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge

Start your private tour with a drive through the breathtaking Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, known for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate to explore Atlas Film Studios and a local kasbah. Pass through the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual festival, before reaching Dades Gorge, where you will spend the night.

Day 2Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Rissani – Merzouga Desert

Travel by 4×4 to the stunning Todra Gorge, a narrow canyon popular with outdoor enthusiasts. Continue through Ziz Valley to Erfoud, an oasis town known for its fossils, and visit a local factory and shop. Next, stop at Rissani to explore the local souk before heading to Merzouga. Arrive at the desert checkpoint to begin a camel trek into the dunes with experienced guides. Reach the Merzouga Desert Camp for an overnight stay in Berbere tents with a traditional starlit dinner and desert music.

Spend the day exploring the Sahara Desert at your own pace. Options include camel trekking or 4×4 excursions to discover the dunes and the nearby Khamlia village, famous for its traditional music. Enjoy a magical sunset over the desert dunes. Overnight at a local riad near Merzouga.

day 4Merzouga – Midelt – Fes

Wake early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, then ride back by camel to a nearby hotel to freshen up. After breakfast, drive through Rissani and Erfoud to Midelt in the Atlas Mountains for a lunch stop. Continue onward to Fes, where you will spend the night in a local hotel.

day 5Fes – Chefchaouen

Begin the day exploring Fes, Morocco’s spiritual capital. Discover Fes el Bali (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the historic medina with over 9000 narrow streets, Fes Jdid with its Jewish quarter, and Ville Nouvelle, the modern French-built district. Later, drive north to the blue city of Chefchaouen for your overnight stay.

Day 6 Chefchaouen – Marrakech

Explore Chefchaouen’s main attractions and vibrant streets before returning to Marrakech. Overnight at your hotel in Marrakech.

Day 7 Airport Transfer

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a private transfer to the airport where the tour concludes.
