    Itinerary

    Day 1Marrakech to High Atlas Mountains to Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate to Dades Valley

    Your 3 days Marrakech to Fes desert tour begins with an early morning pick up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech around 8:00 AM. Travel southeast through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying panoramic views and stops to photograph traditional Berber villages along the way.

    Arrive in Ait Ben Haddou for lunch and a guided visit of the famous kasbah. This fortified village has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and appeared in many well known films such as Lawrence of Arabia Babel and Gladiator. Continue to Ouarzazate where you may stop to see Africas largest film studios from the outside or choose an optional interior visit.

    The journey then continues through Boumalne Dades and the Valley of Roses. Upon arrival in Dades Valley you may choose to visit the unique rock formations known as monkey fingers today or the next morning. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation in Dades Valley.

    Day 2Dades Valley to Tinghir Oasis to Todgha Canyon to Merzouga Desert

    After breakfast depart Dades Valley toward Tinghir. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking a beautiful oasis filled with palm trees and old kasbahs. Continue to Todgha Canyon where sheer rock walls rise up to 300 meters carved by the Todgha River. Enjoy time to walk through the canyon and take photos.

    On the way to Merzouga your driver may suggest a stop at a traditional Berber shop where you can try on local clothing and take photos for free. Purchasing items is optional and the visit can be skipped if you prefer.

    Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon where your luggage will be transferred by 4×4 to the desert camp. Mount your camel and ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes while watching the sunset paint the sand in golden and red tones. Reach the luxury desert camp for dinner live drumming Berber storytelling and an unforgettable night beneath the star filled Sahara sky.

    day 3Merzouga Desert to Ziz Valley to Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane to Fes

    Wake up early to admire the peaceful sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp return to Merzouga town by camel or 4×4 vehicle. Begin the drive north toward Fes with a scenic stop overlooking the Ziz Valley famous for its palm groves and oasis villages.

    Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains and pass through the cedar forest where you may see Barbary apes in their natural habitat. Stop in Ifrane known as the Switzerland of Morocco for a short break and coffee stop.

    Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon where your 3 days Marrakech to Fes desert tour comes to an end with drop off at your accommodation.
