This 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga offers an unforgettable experience of exploring the stunning landscapes of Morocco.
The journey takes you through the High Atlas Mountains, traditional Berber villages, the Todra Gorge, and the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you will have the chance to visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites, experience traditional Moroccan music and dance, and take a camel ride into the desert to watch the sunset over the dunes.
The tour concludes with a return journey to Marrakech, passing through the Draa Valley and the Tizi n’Tichka pass. This tour provides an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the unique culture, history, and natural beauty of Morocco.
Marrrakech
3 Hours Before Flight Time
On the first day of 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga , you will leave Marrakech and head towards Dades, located in the High Atlas Mountains. The journey will take you through stunning landscapes, including the Tizi n’Tichka pass, which sits at 2,260 meters above sea level. You will pass through traditional Berber villages and have the chance to stop and explore the local markets. You will also visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified city that has been used as a filming location for many Hollywood movies.
On the second day of Marrakech desert tour, you will leave Dades and continue towards Merzouga. The journey will take you through the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon that reaches heights of up to 300 meters. You will also pass through the town of Erfoud, famous for its fossil beds, and the Rissani market, one of the largest markets in southern Morocco. Upon arriving in Merzouga, you will have the opportunity to take a camel ride into the Sahara Desert and watch the sunset over the dunes.
On the third day, you will have a full day to explore the Sahara Desert. You can choose to take a guided tour of the area, which may include visits to nomadic villages and oases, as well as a chance to experience the traditional music and dance of the Berber people. You can also opt to spend the day relaxing in a desert camp, taking in the stunning scenery and enjoying a traditional Moroccan meal.
The last day of the 4 days desert tour from Marrakech , you will leave Merzouga and begin your journey back to Marrakech. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the Draa Valley, one of the longest rivers in Morocco. You will also pass through the Tizi n’Tichka pass once again, arriving back in Marrakech in the evening.
