This 7 days tour from Casablanca offers a wonderful opportunity to explore some of Morocco’s most beautiful and historic cities, as well as its stunning desert landscapes. You will visit Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest and most important cities in Morocco, where you will have a full day to discover its many attractions, including the bustling medina, the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Kairaouine Mosque.
You will then head south towards the Sahara desert, stopping in the scenic Ziz Valley and the Todra Gorge before arriving in Merzouga, where you will spend a night in a desert camp and embark on a camel ride through the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi.
From there, you will travel west towards Ouarzazate, passing through the famous kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and the High Atlas Mountains, before reaching the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you will have some free time to explore its famous Djemaa el Fna square and other attractions. Day 1: Casablanca to Fes:
Your 7-day tour begins with a drive from Casablanca to Fes, a historic city known for its rich cultural heritage and bustling medina. The journey will take you through the picturesque countryside of Morocco, offering glimpses of traditional villages, green valleys, and rugged mountains. Upon arrival in Fes, you will check in to your hotel and have some free time to explore the city on your own.
Day 2: Full day in Fes:
Today, you will have a full day to discover the many attractions of Fes, one of the most well-preserved medieval cities in the world. You will visit the old medina, a maze-like network of narrow alleys and bustling souks that are home to countless artisan workshops, food stalls, and traditional shops. You will also explore the famous Bou Inania Madrasa, the Kairaouine Mosque, and the Royal Palace. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner and rest.
Day 3: FES TO MERZOUGA ; Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga.
In the morning, you will head south towards the Sahara desert, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and passing through the scenic Ziz Valley. Your destination is the small desert town of Merzouga, located on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Upon arrival, you will check in to your desert camp and have some free time to relax or explore the surrounding area.
Day 4: Exploring Merzouga.
In this day, you will embark on an unforgettable desert tour, riding on the back of a camel through the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will stop to admire the spectacular sunrise and sunset views, and visit a nomadic Berber village to learn about their traditional way of life. In the evening, you will return to your desert camp for a night of stargazing, music, and a delicious dinner.
Day 5: MERZOUGA TO OUARZAZATE; Rissani – Todra gorges – Ziz valley – Rose valley.
On the fifth day, you will leave Merzouga and drive west towards the city of Ouarzazate, also known as the “Gateway to the Sahara”. Along the way, you will pass through the stunning Todra Gorge, a narrow canyon with steep cliffs that tower over 300 meters high. You will also stop to visit the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, you will check in to your hotel and have some free time to explore the city on your own.
Day 6: OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH : HIGH ATLAS.
Today, you will head towards the vibrant city of Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains and passing through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in Morocco. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the rugged landscape and traditional Berber villages. Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will check in to your hotel and have some free time to explore the city’s famous Djemaa el Fna square, a lively hub of street performers, musicians, and food stalls.
Day 7: departure to the airport in Marrakech or Casablanca.
